Created in 2015 by a group of friends passionate about video games, our esports club has grown to become the THG association, with the ambition of being a benchmark club in Rennes and Brittany!

Our goal is to progressively develop across as many competitive games as possible, while organizing our own esports events in Brittany to energize the local scene and bring enthusiasts together.

Chapter I

Club history

From a high-schoolers' living room to a recognized association — ten years building THG.

  1. 2015 — 2017Origins

    The early days

    THG was born from a group of high-schoolers sharing a common passion for League of Legends, who started creating content on YouTube. A first phase focused on fun, community and experimentation.

  2. 2017Competition

    First competitions

    The club takes its first competitive steps at LAN events in Brittany, notably Insalan. THG transitions from a content-creation project to an amateur esports-oriented structure.

  3. 2017 — 2020Media

    The Canapé Show

    Alongside competition, THG grows its Twitch presence with the Canapé Show, a community talk show that reinforces its identity and ties with its small community.

  4. 2025Structuring

    Founding the association

    THG hits a key milestone by formally creating its association. The project takes on a long-term vision with an ambition to professionalize in esports.

  5. 2025 →Performance

    Competitive turn

    Launch of a semi-professional League of Legends roster. THG asserts its competitive stance and lays the foundations for its esports development.
